A Message from Our President

Honoring our Past, Building a Legacy
Welcome to the official website of the Richmond (VA) Chapter, The Links, Incorporated. I am honored to represent a membership of dynamic and professional women dedicated to serving the Richmond Metropolitan area through friendship and service. In 1952 sixteen trailblazing pioneers chartered our chapter to positively impact our community through purposeful programming. Over the past 75 years, we have served the Richmond community meeting the mission of The Links, Incorporated, Friends transforming communities through service.
The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation established in 1946. With more than 18,000 professional women in over 300 chapters it is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations. Outstanding programming focuses on five areas that include Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services. The Richmond (VA) Chapter incorporates each of these areas of concern as we develop and actively build programs with our community partners to serve our community. Major accomplishments of our Chapter include, but are not limited to:
Contributions
- Capitalized endowed scholarship at Virginia Union University
- Capitalized contribution to the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia
- Richmond and Henrico Christmas Mother
- Donation of Elizabeth Catlett Sculpture “Standing Mother and Child” to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

As we embark on our 75th year of serving the Richmond Metropolitan area we are humbled to stand on the shoulders of our charter members to uphold and continue serving the Richmond Metropolitan area with pride, humility, and friendship.
