On November 20, 2024, the Richmond (VA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated was honored to receive the Outstanding Service Award from the Franklin Military Academy (Richmond Public Schools). The Richmond (VA) Chapter is proud to partner with Franklin Military Academy in our 10th year supporting and mentoring young female cadets throughout high school.

For this year’s Walk for Healthy Living National Impact Day, the Richmond (VA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, partnered – again – with the Djimon Honsou Foundation, the City of Richmond, and the Black History Museum of Virginia, to support RUN RICHMOND 16.19, a running/walking event that celebrates unity, community, and good health. On Saturday, September 21, 2024, participants experienced 400+ years of Black history as we completed either a 6.19K walking course or a 16.19K running course along historically symbolic routes. We also manned a Voter Registration table at the event.

September 17, 2024 was National Register to Vote Day. Members of the Richmond (VA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated volunteered, at Franklin Military Academy to educate and register high school seniors to vote. Working with the students was a wonderful and rewarding experience.
